A Great "Late" Christmas Party

Last night our Sunday School class, Small Group, whatever it is called these days, had our Christmas Party. They always have it after the holidays so that more people can attend, and things aren't so busy. Roger and I had a blast. Jedidiah did too. He got to meet and play with some of the other kids. The house we partied at was awesome! They had a huge playroom upstairs for kids. There was a pool table, air hockey, Wii, and tons of other toys. We played dirty Santa, which is always fun. They announced last Sunday that we were to each bring a $5 gift. That was all the instruction we got. I bought a $5 gift card to Wal-Mart, and Roger bought a little $4.94 screwdriver set. The point we some how missed was that it was suppose to be like white elephant or gag gifts. Oh Well!! There were some other people that didn't get the memo, but we were definetly in the minority. Some of my favorite gag gifts were:

-Jessica got some Monkey Butt Powder----it was powder that if used helps prevent you from smelling like a Monkey's Butt!! Cracks me up!
-Brett - a man's urinal--the kind you might take on a road trip. It looks like a bed pan only it is obvious it is for men and urine only...if you get my drift. He said he was going to put it beside his bed and would never have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom again!! Still makes me laugh!
-A couple of people got pregnancy test.

My gift wasn't nearly as funny. Just tacky. It was this very heavy ceramic boot. I have decided I will regift it next year at the Christmas party. Roger's gift was pretty funny. He got: honeysuckle bubble bath, a Yogo VHS tape, a relaxing piano CD, and a book entitled The Irritable Male Syndrome - managing the 4 key causes of depression and aggression. From the same author of Male Menopause. I told him jokingly that he ought to read it!

We really had a good time, and are starting to feel like part of the group. It was an awesome time!
